Occurs in the first 2 hrs puerperium; uncontrollable shaking chill immediately following birth. Possibly r/t a nervous system response, vasomotor changes, a shift in fluids, and/or the work of labor. Normal unless accompanied by elevated temperature.

D) Postpartum chills
