How to find the slope and tell what kind of slope it illustrates?

SLOPE CALCULATION
The formula to calculate the slope of a line is given to be:
[tex]m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]The points on the line are labeled as shown below:
The coordinates of the points are given to be:
[tex]\begin{gathered} 1\Rightarrow(x_1,y_1)=(-4,-1) \\ 2\Rightarrow(x_2,y_2)=(-1,-4) \end{gathered}[/tex]Therefore, the slope can be calculated to be:
[tex]m=\frac{-4-(-1)}{-1-(-4)}=\frac{-4+1}{-1+4}=-\frac{3}{3}=-1[/tex]Therefore, the slope is calculated to be -1.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SLOPE
Slopes come in 4 different types: negative, positive, zero, and undefined.
The slope calculated is a NEGATIVE SLOPE.
