Well, I have never read or seen it, but usually, books have a lot more detail and they explain things a lot better than films. So, I would say that the book is the most effective. Have a great day!
I like the director's use of plastic characters and blocks to set the scene. The expressions on the characters' faces fit what happens in the story perfectly. I also like that the director made the film much shorter than the story. It was quick and fun to watch.
