Ancient Egypt was among the most succesful civilizations on earth. This is for many reasons, but it is agreed on that the prime factor is how heavily this society would rely on the Nile river. Ever since king Menes brought the two kingdoms of upper and lower Egypt together, the whole of the civilization as one would depend on a great selection of their daily lives on the Nile river. This river is not only the longest of the entire Earth, but also provided ancient Egyptians with excellent soil for crops, bathing water, transportation with great wooden boats. This all came through the yearly floods that would occur arround the Nile, which was considered a time of celebration. Ancient Egyptians relied so heavily on the Nile to help their civilization flourish for the thosands of years that it did, that they even went on to worship the god Hapi, which was thought to be the god of the annual flooding in the river.
